Bud Brigham has over 30 years of entrepreneurial and operating experience in the oil and gas industry. He founded the original Brigham Exploration Company in 1990. Bud served as the company’s President, CEO and Chairman as the company evolved from a private company through a successful IPO in 1997 and ultimate sale in 2011. The company accumulated 375,000 net acres in the Williston Basin and drilled over 100 successful wells prior to sale to Statoil ASA in 2011 for $4.5 billion. Subsequently, Bud founded and served as Executive Chairman of Brigham Resources, which built an 80,000 net acre position in the Southern Delaware Basin, completing approximately 50 wells, prior to sale in February 2017 to Diamondback Energy for $2.55 billion. He also founded and served as Executive Chairman of Brigham Minerals which amassed over 40,000 net mineral acres across the Permian, SCOOP/STACK, DJ and Williston Basins. Brigham Minerals went public on the NYSE in April 2019 and in December 2022 was merged into Sitio Royalties Corp. In 2017 Bud founded Atlas Energy Solutions, which controls the largest and highest quality sand reserves in the Permian Basin. Atlas Energy Solutions commenced production from two plants, near Kermit and Monahans Texas, achieving a record ramp up to full capacity, and is now a leading provider of frac sand and logistics in the Permian Basin. Atlas Energy Solutions went public on the NYSE in March 2023 (AESI).
