Division Order Analyst
Brigham Exploration Overview
Brigham Exploration (the “Company”) is a privately funded oil & gas company with assets in the Permian Basin. Founded in 2017, the Company has deployed a significant amount of capital through acquisitions and development. The Company primarily owns and manages non-operated oil & gas leasehold, and also has an operating arm with several producing wells. The Land Analyst will be an integral addition to the Land Team through support with existing entities and subsequent funds.
Position Summary
The Division Order Analyst will perform necessary administrative duties associated with Land documentation and system integration including the processing of well ballots and elections, division orders, acquisition files, well files, lease files, in-bound and out-bound mailings, working and net revenue interest calculations, and the management of lease information and various other departmental records. The Land Analyst will also support and assist Company Landmen on various projects as they’re prioritized, while maintaining the ability to multi-task and ensure an efficient and streamlined workflow.
The successful candidate will be a self-driven and highly motivated team player who exhibits strong problem solving and organizational skills. This position requires effective communication, time management, and the ability to apply knowledge in an increasingly complex and dynamic environment as the Company grows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Process all well-related proposals while monitoring election deadlines
Review and process incoming Division Orders
Calculate Working Interest and Net Revenue Interest ownership
Collaborate with accounting to reconcile billed/paid Working Interest/Net Revenue Interest discrepancies
Enter detailed oil and gas lease, well, and other contract data into the proprietary BEXP Land Database
Prepare Land related documents for management execution
Assemble and maintain lease files, well files, and acquisition files
Review owned lease obligations for production status and expiry risk
File instruments in County records
Ability to multitask and adapt to changes/increases in job responsibilities
Skills and Competencies
Extremely effective communication skills, both written and oral
Proficient software skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and Land system functions
Collaborate well with Land Team and all other departments

Technical and able to adapt quickly
Required Education and Experience
Minimum Two (2) Years experience as a Lease Analyst, DO Analyst, Land Analyst, Land Tech, or related position in the oil and gas industry
High school diploma
Preferred Education and Experience
Four (4) Years experience as a Lease Analyst or DO Analyst
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Prior experience managing non-operated assets
Familiarity with advanced calculations including: JOA WIU’s, allocation wells, PSA wells, etc.
New Mexico and Texas experience
ArcGIS experience
